The African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS) and its partners will organize a three (3) day Regional Training Course on Shadow & Parallel Reporting to the African Commission for Lusophony Africa Human Rights Network 13-15 June 2023.
The Main Objectives of the Training course are to Facilitate the engagement and inclusive participation of platform organizations in African Union human rights systems and mechanisms, and building the capacity of Platform members and strengthen networks in parallel monitoring and reporting on the African Charter and its Protocols, lobbying and advocacy on the human rights situation in their Countries.
The training course will bring together representatives from Lusophone Africa countries namely Angola, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, & Sao Tome Principe.
The eminent facilitators in the human rights arena, will comprise` Hon Commissioner Maria Teresa Manuela of African Commission on Human and People’s Rights, Emilio Jose Manuel of Centro de Direitos Humanos e Cidadania Universidade Catolica de Angola, Maulo N Dombaxi of African Commission on Human and People’s Rights and Mrs Hannah Forster of the African Centre for Democracy Human Rights Studies.
