Press Release: Training on Shadow Reporting Guidelines on the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol)

African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS) in collaboration with Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) will organize virtually (Zoom) Training on Shadow Reporting Guidelines on the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol) for SOAWR Members on 26th  August 2021.

The Training is an activity under the project ‘All for Maputo Protocol Programme funded by the Swedish Development Cooperation through Equality Now to be implemented by the African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies

The main objective of the training is to popularize the Shadow Reporting Guidelines amongst SOAWR Members, inform and equip SOAWR members with knowledge and skills on the Shadow Reporting Guidelines to facilitate the preparation and submission of Shadow Reports to the African Commission.

The training Targets SOAWR members (with a special focus on Members whose country reports will be examined by the African Commission during 69 th Ordinary Session (Benin, Eswatini, Kenya, Namibia and Seychelles)
