Discussions focused on 4 main sessions:
Mrs Hannah Forster, Executive Director of ACDHRS made a presentation on “Inclusive Partnership for Africa: Role of Civil Society”. She explained how CSOs could represent a major partner to deepen the relationship between Africa and Korea.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the Korea-Africa Foundation, which was launched in June 2018 with the view to further strengthen the overall partnership between Korea and Africa, provided an opportunity to address various topics pertaining to Africa from both policy and academic perspectives. The Dialogue was the first precious space for diverse actors and stakeholders to share their views on significant issues about Africa and discuss ways to deepen the relationship between Korea and Africa.
Government, academia, civil society, corporations, and other stakeholders participated in this year's seminar, covering major issues in Africa and the status of Korea-Africa exchange cooperation.
The Dialogue also played a vital role in reinforcing the mutually beneficial ties of cooperation between Korea and African countries.
