The African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS) is pleased to invite civil society organizations, human rights defenders, and stakeholders to register for the April 2025 NGO Forum. This Forum will be held in Banjul, The Gambia, from 28th to 30th April 2025, ahead of the 83rd Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR).
About the NGO Forum
The NGO Forum serves as a crucial platform for civil society engagement on human rights issues across Africa. It provides a space for dialogue, experience-sharing, and strategizing on key human rights concerns in the region. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss pressing human rights challenges, develop advocacy strategies, and engage with stakeholders ahead of the ACHPR session.
Eligibility and Participation
The Forum is open to representatives of:
✔ Civil society organizations (CSOs)
✔ Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
✔ Human rights defenders
✔ Academics and researchers
✔ Legal practitioners
✔ Media professionals focusing on human rights
✔ Other relevant stakeholders
