TRAINING FOR WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIANS ON THE UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 1325

The African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRSJ on behalf of the Women’s Forum for Peace in Senegal, Guinea Bissau and The Gambia will organize a two day capacity building training on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 scheduled to be held from Wednesday, 4th – Thursday, 5th November 2020 at the Paradise Suites Hotel, Senegambia.
The training is part of activities of the project on “Strengthening women’s participation for the consolidation of peace in Casamance and the stability of the sub-region” funded by the African Women’s Development fund (AWDF). Similar trainings for women parliamentarians in Senegal and Guinea-Bissau on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, using a global approach to ensure better support for peace building will also be organized.
Regional conferences will also be organized with the participation of different state institutions to advocate for greater participation of women in the management of peace and security in the sub-region.
Participants will include partners from Senegal, Gambian women parliamentarians, women in peace building, mediation and conflict resolution, representatives from the media as well as The Gender Action Team (GAT) members.
